The Molelike Mouse is a native Brazilian mammal. It is currently listed as a vulnerable species. It was first reported by Winge in 1887. This particular species is endemic to Brazil. It is from the Juscelinomys genus, which translates to Juscelin's Mice. The other mouse in this genus is the Candango Mouse (Juscelinomys candango) which also inhabits Brazil. There has been very little research conducted into the life of this particular species of mouse. One reason for this is they are very sparse. It is rare to find a specimen of this mouse.
